Lynette Gomez was recently promoted to Executive Director at Hillside!

She was quoted saying, “Time flies when you are having fun and enjoying what you do.” This is true for Lynette who has been working at the Hillside Clinic since 2015 when she joined as Director of the Clinic. Now going into her sixth year, she still enjoys working at Hillside and being a part of our organization. Bringing access to healthcare to our communities, especially those in southern Belize, is of utmost importance to Lynette.

She has been trusted with the responsibility of Executive Director and continues to oversee the mostly smooth running of the organization. Hillside is very dear to Lynette because it’s where she spent the earlier part of her life and where generations of her family were born and raised.

Lynette spent over ten years of her life at two grassroots organizations in Toledo where she cultivated her community development and program management experience. She has always been passionate about community development. At Hillside, we empower patients to take care of one of the most important things for a good life – their health

When Lynette isn’t at Hillside, she spends a lot of time on the farm with her family: planting, cleaning, reaping crops, or just enjoying the view! Something about being in nature brings her peace and comfort; it also allows her to reset for her important work at the clinic.

“I look forward to the day that we would be able to meet in person and share a huge, but until then, please continue to be safe: wash your hands, wear your mask properly, and social distance as we navigate through another year with Covid-19.”

Help bring free health care to Southern Belize.

Hillside provides approximately 10,000 clinical and outreach services to the people of Southern Belize each year. Please consider a donation to Hillside Health Care International.
