Hillside Medical Curriculum
Each four week experience with Hillside Health Care International (HHCI) in Belize is designed to help participants meet the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s list of Core Competencies as well as the “Global Minimum Essential Requirements in Medical Education” as set forth by the Institute for International Medical Education. These recognized US and Global standards are outlined below. The HHCI curriculum was developed to help participants meet these competencies within the community health context of a developing country with limited resources and access to medical care. The following information is provided to help the participant understand the goals and objectives of the HHCI Medical Curriculum.
